Understand before recommending.
The brief is a starting point, not necessarily the answer.
About
Studio20 is a digital consultancy in Malaysia, built on more than a decade of experience designing and developing digital products and platforms.
We didn't begin with a consulting methodology. We began by doing the work.
Our evolution
We started in 2015 as a technology team, building websites, applications and digital platforms.
As our clients grew, the work expanded into content, campaigns, social media and performance marketing. Working across the digital journey showed us that channel problems rarely stand alone.
A website project could uncover a content problem.
A platform project could expose an operational problem.
A marketing brief could reveal a customer journey problem.
Clients stopped asking only, “Can you build this?”
They began asking, “What do you think we should do?”
That changed the role we played.
Today, Studio20 Malaysia is a digital consultancy that still knows how to build.
What we believe
The brief is a starting point, not necessarily the answer.
Advice should survive contact with reality.
Strategy gets better when the people shaping it understand implementation.
The real test is whether the client’s team can operate, improve and grow what we create.
Studio20 today
Studio20 Malaysia works with an integrated team across Singapore and Malaysia.
We bring together strategy, design, engineering and growth expertise to help organisations solve digital challenges spanning corporate platforms, applications, digital growth, and enterprise intelligence and automation.
Our clients work with one accountable team—from the first recommendation through implementation and what comes after launch.
The right fit
Said here so nobody wastes a meeting finding out.
Our three steps. Discover understands the business, Recommend turns that into a practical plan with the reasoning behind it, and Implement builds it with the same people staying accountable for the result.
Four things: the digital estate, stakeholders and operations, commercial context, and who owns and can run what afterwards.
Yes, and often. A website project can turn out to be a content problem, a platform project an operational one. We would rather find that early than build the wrong thing well.
When the brief needs executing without its assumptions questioned, when the deadline leaves no room to understand the problem, when the work is isolated from any wider objective, or when price is the only measure of value.
